Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate from ABC News
How is it possible that this story stayed under wraps in the mainstream media for so long after the National Enquirer first broke it? Is it at all possible that a similar allegation about a Republican politician would have been blatantly ignored for this long?
You'll recall, back in February, the New York Times ran a front-page story that all-but accused John McCain of having an affair with a female lobbyist. The story has yet to be proven accurate, in any sense of the word, and yet that didn't stop the "paper of record" from splashing it all over their front page.
Meanwhile, a former relative front runner for the Democratic nomination for President is all but caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar, and the Times, and the vast majority of the rest of the media is silent.

Housing Lenders Fear Bigger Wave of Loan Defaults
Apparently, the hip trend of not paying your mortgage is spreading from the lower rung of borrowers (and the occasional Congresswoman) to a higher class of home "owner." I wonder if this has any correlation to the newly discovered idea that you no longer have to really "pay" your mortgage, merely hang around long enough until the government forces everyone else to pay your mortgage for you. Thanks, Government!
Ragtag Taliban Show Tenacity in Afghanistan
Oh, those international terrorists, they're just so darned scrappy! If there was a Sixth Man of the Year Award for murderers, I'd give it to the Taliban in Afghanistan. They're doing a helluva job coming off the bench this year, after everyone counted them out, so much attention was focused on those big name guys in Iraq, so much hype, but these guys in Afghanistan just won't give up! They're doing all the little things, selling opium, blowing up wedding parties, grabbing offensive rebounds, beheading children, all those things that those high-paid boys up in Iraq just won't do anymore! Gotta love the hustle!
